After a blissfully happy childhood in sunny Vancouver, B.C., Sheila attended the University of British Columbia. Transferring from the Fine Arts program to Art Education midway through, Sheila graduated with a degree in Education, majoring in Art and English, before taking some time off to enjoy Whistler, B.C. in its early incarnation. She then moved to Ontario to attend the Ontario College of Art and Design, graduating with a diploma in Illustration and Design.

Since then, Sheila has been working as a freelance artist/illustrator on projects including print illustration, mural and decorative painting, and commissioned portraits.

She currently resides just outside of Toronto in Uxbridge, Ontario with her husband Doug, son Cole and overly enthusiastic mutt, Bandit.
